This symposium is the result of our decision to launch these gatherings because we recognized a significant gap in awareness and understanding of trauma in SEMENA (Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern, North and Sub-Saharan African) communities—and even less knowledge about how to heal from it. Our goal is to benefit our community through expert lectures, workshops, and presentations that illuminate the path from suffering to strength.
