Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, with formative years in New Jersey, Amin’s commitment to service was shaped early by community and lived experience. That calling led him into a career in the nonprofit sector, where he served with Tayba Foundation, SeekersGuidance, and spent 11 years at the Islamic Center of Irvine—the last four as Executive Director.

Beyond institutional leadership, Amin is a longtime advocate for youth justice and trauma-informed reform, serving on the boards of CFSY and ICAN (which he co-founded), as well as Lamps of Light and The Timelist Group.
