Muslim youth across Southern California are struggling with addiction, and when they reach the point of needing intensive recovery support, they find almost nothing built for them.
Many young Muslims eligible for release from incarceration choose to stay because the available recovery centers cannot accommodate their faith. There is no halal food. No space for prayer. No understanding of who they are.

Our recovery center will provide halal food, dedicated prayer spaces, and a healing environment grounded in Islamic values.
For the first time, Muslim youth in recovery will have a place that truly feels like home, where their faith is not just respected but woven into every aspect of their care.
Lamps of Light Project has built a strong foundation of outpatient clinical services serving the Muslim community.
This center represents the next step in our mission, transitioning from flexible outpatient support to a full-fledged inpatient recovery center capable of reaching the most vulnerable individuals at their most critical moments.
